Hello, April! It’s good to see your smiling face. How about a happy, sunny month with warm days and many happy shoppers.
We had a good weekend at the Home, Sport, and Garden show in Port Huron. Thanks to all who stopped by our booth to say hello. We have a few good, solid leads on Janome sales; here’s hoping they pan out.
Janome Owners Club meets Thursday at 4:00. If you purchased your Janome machine from River Place, and you have questions about your machine, this is your time! Just give us a call so we know to expect you.
Serger Club meets Friday at 1:00. We have a fun project in mind – I’ll tell you more in our Newsletter, which I hope to send later today – but the project is making a peasant top from a man’s t-shirt. Our hot, summer days are coming, and this will be a wonderful shirt to wear to keep you cool.
Quilter’s Academy meets Saturday at 11. This is our Freshman Year of QA, and we will wrap up the course in the next few weeks. I’m looking at our calendar already to set up Quilter’s Academy – Sophomore Year. Stay tuned!
I will be vending at the 2012 Quilt Celebration at the First Baptist Church of Lake Orion on Friday, April 13 from 10-7 and on Saturday, April 14 from 10-5. Over 200 quilts will be on display, breakfast and lunch will be available, over $1600 in prizes will be awarded, a quilt will be raffled, and vendors will be there to entice you to buy. I hope to see you there!
Have a happy and blessed Easter season.
