River Place Quilt & Sew will hold an Auction on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at 1:00 in the afternoon. Yes, that’s a long ways away. So, why are we telling you this today? Because we want all our customers to attend the auction, of course. And we want you to know how it will all work.
We will give River Place Bucks to customers for many different reasons, including but not limited to bringing Show & Tell, achieving a milestone, arriving at classes on time and fully prepared, bringing finished blocks of the month when picking up new ones, and more. River Place Bucks aren’t something you ask for but are given at our discretion.
At the auction, you will be able to use your River Place Bucks to bid on items which may include store samples, overstock items, books, patterns, kits, samples from vendors, and other items we collect throughout the year.
Admission to the auction will be a $20 donation, which we will present to K.I.D.S. (Kids in Distress Services), a local charity which, through community donors and partnerships, provide a weeks’ worth of clothing, personal hygiene items, school supplies, bedding, and furniture to the most fragile at-risk population of children in St. Clair County.
Any person who wishes to attend the auction who has not received River Place Bucks, or who wishes to have more Bucks to spend, may purchase them with a donation, once again, to K.I.D.S. A one dollar donation to K.I.D.S. will net you five River Place Bucks.
