Tips and Techniques Tuesday – 1/17/12


Today’s post features three different Janome accessories: the Free Motion Quilt Foot Set, Convertible (High Shank); the Free Motion Quilt Foot Set, Convertible (Low Shank); and the Free Motion Quilting Foot. These products are crucial if you wish to learn Free-Motion Quilting on your machine.

The Free Motion Quilt Foot Set, Convertible (High Shank)

The set includes three different feet that attach to the holder with a screw for maximum sturdiness and safety. Feet included in the package are:
Closed Toe Foot for general use with lace and catchable fabrics.
Open Toe Foot for general use and extra visibility
Clear View Foot for uneven surfaces and evenly spaced quilting.

The Free Motion Quilt Foot Set, Convertible (Low Shank)

The set includes three different feet that attach to the holder with a screw for maximum sturdiness and safety. Also includes a darning plate. Feet included in the package are:
Closed Toe Foot for general use with lace and catchable fabrics.
Open Toe Foot for general use and extra visibility
Clear View Foot for uneven surfaces and evenly spaced quilting.

The Free Motion Quilting Foot

The new adjustable Free Motion Quilting Foot allows you to adjust the height of the foot in relation to your fabric and has been designed for quieter, more stable movement. The smaller head provides better visibility. Works in conjunction with the Bobbin Holder for Free Motion Quilting. Created for the Memory Craft 11000 and 6600 Professional.
