Margaret’s Monday Mash-Ups – 12/19/11

Good morning. Thirty-six years ago today was a clear day. The ground was frozen, but there was no snow. The sun was out for a while. It was a very pretty day. By six-thirty that evening, there was still no snow. A little over one hour later, six inches of snow blanketed the ground, and the snow kept falling. By 11:00, the roads were nearly impassable. Two lonely tire tracks were all that was seen on I-94. There were cars in the ditches everywhere. What a mess!

Why do I remember that day? Because it’s the day Dennis and I were married. We were two young people in love and ready to live a lifetime together. And 36 years later, we’re looking forward to the rest of our lives together.

River Place Quilt & Sew will be open all week – don’t forget about our pre-wrapped gifts that will make your last-minute shopping that much easier. We will close at five on Friday, December 23, and will remain closed until Monday, January 2. Neither Rachel nor I will be blogging during our vacation.

Have a happy and blessed Christmas.
