Margaret’s Monday Mash-ups – 10/10/11

I’m pretty sure I’ve told you about my son moving to California, and I’m also pretty sure I told you the store will be closed from December 24 through January 1. Just in case I didn’t tell you those two things, I am telling you again. And – I am also telling you that I was able to get tickets to California for that week, so my husband, my mom, and I will visit our kids (who share an apartment) for Christmas!!! We are all very excited. I don’t know if I’ll be able to get any work done between now and then, so maybe you should come in and do all my work for me. What do you think?

We are planning another event at River Place Quilt & Sew. We’ll announce it in our newsletter and on Facebook, but I want to tell you now so you can be one of the first to reserve your spot at our very first PMS night. I shamelessly stole the PMS name from our friends at Fabric Quilt Scissors over in New Era, Michigan. PMS stands for Pizza, Munchies, and Sewing. So. Our first PMS night will be Wednesday, November 16, from 4-8 p.m. The cost is $15, and includes your pizza, pop, munchies, a ticket in a door prize drawing, and use of our classroom, cutting tables, and other supplies as needed. We will also have a fat quarter swap of winter-themed fabric. If you bring one fat quarter, you go home with one fat quarter. You can bring a maximum of six fat quarters to swap. Your fabric must be quilt-shop quality – no chain store fabric allowed!!! You’ll also receive a 10% discount on any purchase you make that night (off full retail only). Bring your unfinished projects and work on them while making new friends and chatting with old ones. I hope to see you there!
