Do you have wavy quilt borders? Here are some tips to make them straight.
Before cutting your borders, measure the quilt top in three places – the top, the middle, and the bottom. Average these three numbers, and cut two borders to that measurement. When you begin to pin, find the center of the quilt and the border and match them. Pin each edge and then ease the quilt and the border to fit. Whichever is shorter, either the quilt or the border, should be on top when sewing so the fullness can be eased in.
For the other borders, measure the same way – top, middle, and bottom – and then repeat all of the above steps.
