July flew by. My husband, Dennis, drove our son, Jake, to California in time to start his new job with iTradeNetwork, and brought our daughter, Bridget, back to visit. Two of my brothers live out of state, and they and their wives came to visit, also. We had a houseful, and enjoyed many laughs and stories.
We attended the wedding of Vanessa, daughter of our very good friends Greg and Sue. Sue and I met in third grade, and have been friends ever since. The wedding was beautiful, and I enjoyed a three-day weekend. Thanks to Diane, Rachel, and Sandy for making that happen.
We have had to cancel the bus trip. We just didn’t have enough participants to make it work. The Shop Hop is still on, though, so I hope you are able to come over to Big Rapids August 19 and/or 20 and enjoy all the quilt shops under one roof.
Labor Day is approaching. River Place will be closed Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, September 3, 4, and 5. I will be in Florida attending Janome Institute, and will be bringing back wonderful new ideas and a new top-of-the-line sewing (embroidery????) machine. Can’t wait! I won’t return until Wednesday or Thursday, but the store will re-open Tuesday for your shopping convenience.
Mark your calendars now for our Christmas Open House, which will be held Saturday and Sunday, November 19 and 20. Watch for details in the near future.
We will close the store Saturday, December 24, and will remain closed for the entire week between Christmas and New Year’s. We will re-open on Monday, January 2. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
Thank you for a wonderful July. We are looking forward to an even better August!
